4th costume

This will be Bria's 4th Halloween, let's take a look back and see all her costumes:

The Ladybug bunting costume, perfect for warmth and the baby who can't walk yet

A perty little flower, again great for warmth and seriously adorbs

The first year she had an opinion about what she wanted to be: Tinkerbell
And little Reese was a flower :)
This year might be my favorite though:
My sweet little Rapunzel :)

Mother Gothel and Rapunzel

The cutest pink bunny I have ever seen

My cuties

Brian's costume is unknown, it's a wig and a hat and he's a trooper for letting me throw something on him :)

Trick or treating with friends!

Halloween!

"Check out my candy stash!"

Hitchin' a ride with Bennett and Weston

Pure sweetness
Halloween was a huge success, it didn't rain, Bria was in heaven going from house to house with her friends. She said trick or treat and thank you and happy halloween to everybody, and was just having a blast. We took Reese around to a few houses and then Aunt Heather being the awesome Aunt she is, stayed at home with Reese and passed out candy. How lucky are we? VERY lucky.
Eventually Bria was exhausted so we headed back home where all the kids emptied out their goodies, then strangely she got a second wind ;) The kids ran all over the house having a blast.
It was a good Halloween. And now we have lots of candy for our road trip to Boise :)

The magic of Disney

On Saturday we took Bria to Disney on Ice. It wasn't just any Disney on Ice, it was the Princesses! She was so excited and I think Brian and I were just as thrilled about it because we knew she was going to love it.
We got there and wanted to see where our seats were, they were super close, just a few rows up. We wanted to go back out and walk around but Bria was very insistent that we stay in our seats so we didn't miss any of the princesses. She is soooo like us. We talked her into going out for a minute to see the Jensens since they came up for it too!

*I took our little Bloggie that is for video, which means the pictures are low quality. But that way I was able to enjoy the show more and not focus on taking pictures...kind of ;)

The pictures we took inside were horrible because of the lighting, but you get the idea at least.
Yay for the show!

Super close to the show!
We had such a good time and Rapunzel was the best by far. Although I enjoyed all of them. The music is so much fun to listen and dance too, Bria agrees:

Can't wait until we take our girls to Disneyland, maybe next year! Or the year after :)
And make sure you vote! Brian and I just sent in our ballots, feels good to be a voter :)

It's what sisters do

I guess if Reese is laughing I should let them play, but sheesh, Bria can sure be rough.

I'm so desperate to get a bow in Reese's hair (since headbands get ripped out pretty fast) that I put some gel and stuck a clip in it.
"You are going to subject me to the torture of doing my hair? No way, I hear Bria throw a fit every time you do her hair, I want no part of that!"

Cute little curls in the back :)
Reese is obsessed with purses. She has a purse in hand most of the time and it's pretty freaking cute. She will go find a purse and just start walking around like she is a busy bee. Her favorite play purse is this blue one we have, but her absolute favorite is mine.
This child will find my purse no matter where I put it and immediately empty out all the contents. Then she will hand us my wallet so that we will unzip it for her and then she proceeds to pull out all my cards. I almost walked out of the house without my wallet the other day because my little thief had grabbed it out of my purse while I wasn't looking. She's trouble! But so stinkin' cute.

School pictures!!!

Bria is old enough for school pictures?! Wha?!
Watch out grandparents, get ready for cuteness:
I love that they captured her real smile, somebody is good at their job over there.

Here is her little class and her teacher, Mrs. Biamont
I was pretty excited to see these in her little cubby today when I went to drop her off.
I've been busy putting together activity envelopes for our road trip to Boise. I crafted a little hi ho cherry o game out of felt that I'm really excited about and I made a trip to the Dollar store for odds and ends. Unfortunately our Dollar store kind of sucks so I didn't find much, but I'll be going again before the trip to see if I can find a few treasures. Plus I want to go to the library and check out some DVD's and books.
I'm looking forward to this weekend because on Saturday we are taking Bria to Disney on Ice! It's the princesses-Rapunzel, Tiana, Cinderella, and more. Ahhh! She is going to love it, and I'm going to love watching her face light up :)

Out late

Saturday night the Beavers played and we went to Amanda and Dusty's house to watch it with them. It didn't start until 7:30 pm and we stayed until the end so it was a late night for the kids. We ended up putting Reese down in a pack 'n play upstairs since she was pretty exhausted.
The kids had so much fun though, they played and played and ate and played. Amanda had edible necklace stuff all set up and that was the first thing they got to do.

This picture cracks me up, it looks like Bria got a whif if something gross, but really she was just rubbing her nose.

Bria and Weston showing off their necklaces
They had tons of food for us so we pretty much snacked all night. Amanda and I were lounging in our sweats all nice and comfortable which felt great. It was a cold and rainy day and nothing feels better than chillin' in pj's with friends, eating a bunch of food, and watching football.
These cuties agree!
We won and now the Beavs are 6-0, YESSS! The last time OSU was 6-0 was in 1909, over 100 years ago. I think Mike Riley's (coach) job is safe for awhile.

Cookie time before bed
After the victory we loaded up our kids and drove home. You would think Bria would've fallen asleep on the way home considering it was 10:45 pm. Nope. She asked 103 questions like she normally does (her bazillion questions a day deserve a post all on their own) and was all sorts of awake. But she did go to bed pretty quick once we tucked her in.
Today was a pj kind of day. We stayed in pj's until noon and just lounged around, Brian and I took turns napping, I did some laundry, ya know, incredibly fun stuff. We did venture to some stores and since Bria hadn't napped yet she ended up losing it at Kohl's. So instead of getting ice cream like we were going to do afterwards, she did not get ice cream. I'm not sure if I should admit that Brian and I got ice cream cuz that might be borderline child abuse. But we told her no ice cream and we stick to our guns. I think she learned her lesson and next time she won't throw a fit and she will listen to us. Let's hope anyway.
One of our naps today, I think it was Brian's favorite

The baby walk

I've really been enjoying this football season. First of all, the weather has been fabulous, and if you know me you know I love me some good weather. Second, the Beavs have been doing awesome and that always makes me happy. And last but not least, I get to put cute Beaver outfits on my girls.
Despite her whiney face she loved this outfit

Throwing a massive fit, love that I caught this in mid melt down :)

Happy to be on the couch, it's her favorite place to crawl and play around on

This little girl decided crawling is for babies, and she is not a baby anymore. I beg to differ but it is fun to watch her toddler around. Nothing beats a baby walk, the walk where they are just learning and they bend their knees and wobble, so cute. Wednesday evening she just decided to be done crawling, I think it had to do with the fact that we had our friends over and so all the kids were running around and she wanted to join them. Since then she just wants to walk and it's crazyness.
In other news we have decided to go on a family trip! I can't tell you how excited I am, we haven't gone on a vacation all year and I am beyond ready. We are driving to Boise, Idaho. We have family there that I cannot wait to see. The drive is about 8 hours so I'm nervous about that, I think Bria will do okay but Reese, oh my Reese. She is a busy body and I don't know how we are going to manage to keep her strapped in for 8 hours. Pray for us.

She said wha?

Funny quote #1:
Bria: {Walks into the living room pulling her pants up} "Hey guys, I went poop, do you wanna see it?"
Dad: "Um, no thanks."
Bria: {Pause} "Ok, but I think it's perfect."
Dad: {Laughing} "Well I have to see it if it's a perfect poop."
Me: {Falls on the floor laughing}

 Funny quote #2:
Bria: "Dad can you scratch me? I think that would be lovely."
 Funny quote #3:
{At Heather's house, watching the Beaver game and snacking, Bria was snacking on chips}
Bria: "Why am I eating so many chips?"
Me: "I dunno why are you?"
Bria: {giggle} "I dunno either!"

 Funny quote #4:
{Back in the summer she was swimming in our little pool and jumping around, she did a belly dive...}
Bria: "Oww, my nuts!"
Me: {laughing} "Um, sweetheart, girls don't have nuts, just boys do."

Gotta love funny quotes from kids :)
Aside from her funny quotes, I love that she can think outside the box, it's totally a trait she got from her Dad. When her and I went to the Beaver game together she proved this theory once again, if she couldn't hit the baseball swinging it the normal way, she was gonna do it a different way:
:)

This is how we do it

We got our pumpkins all decorated and they are on our front porch, we are officially ready for Halloween.

Painting pumpkins is sooooo exciting!

I made sure not to make Brian mad with that huge knife in his hand ;)

She was not excited about getting the pumpkin guts out, I thought she would've loved that part

"Eww!"

Her pumpkin face :) The cool part of having her paint the pumpkin is that we could wash it off so she could start all over

The adorable observer of the pumpkin shenanigans

Brian's cute pumpkin

"Reese's" pumpkin

A video of our fun :)
Speaking of Halloween, I'm sure you are wondering what the girls are gonna be. Bria has been saying she wants to be Rapunzel and I think she is set on it so Rapunzel it is. I borrowed a Rapunzel costume from Randi and then I think I will just braid Bria's hair, possibly try and find blond extensions to weave in a little. Little Reese is going to be an adorable pink bunny. If I hadn't already gotten her costume I thought it would've been cute to make her Pascal :) For those who have no idea what I'm talking about, Pascal is Rapunzel's chameleon in the movie Tangled.
Brian and I are also going to dress up but I'm not sure what we are going to be yet. I kind of want to kick it old school and be a witch. Bria wants me to be Mother Gothel (the mean mom from Rapunzel) but I just don't know if that sounds fun ;)
