Just adorable

We had an awesome thanksgiving down at my sister's house. The food was so incredibly delicious I ate until I was full and then kept eating. Bria played with her cousins and tackled Porter multiple times (who was so incredibly patient with Bria and her obsession with him). We played Just Dance on the Wii and Bria got in on the action too, quite the little dancer! Reese did awesome and showed off her adorable squeals and smiles. She also crashed at 6 pm, woke up twice in the night to eat, and slept until 8 am, wahoo! Bria got to have a little slumber party in Jaidyn and Kailey's room that night. Can't believe she's old enough to do that, so cute.
We didn't take many pictures because we got busy eating and talking, but here are a few from our visit.

Don't mind the weirdness of the pic, I was playing around with color and different effects.

My Mom and her newest Granddaughter.

My girls with their Ya-ya (all in purple!)

All the granddaughters (Jaidyn on the left and Kailey on the right)

On Saturday was the big Civil War game between OSU and U of O. We lost. It wasn't a surprise but it was still sad. We went to Heather's to watch it and eat food :)

Cheering on her Beavers.

Being ADORABLE!!!!

So much fun!

True Beaver fans right here people!

This picture cracks me up. We told Bria to open her eyes when she smiled because she kept squinting so much, and this is what we got:
Reese looks like she is about to bust up laughing :)

My sweet Beaver cheerleaders.

Hello cuteness!

Now it's on to Christmas stuff, I better get decorating and buying!

2 months

Reese is 2 months old today!
  • She holds her head up so well, my strong little girl
  • She loves to smile and coo
  • She slept through the night 2 nights ago (from 8 pm to 6 am and then went back to sleep until 9)!
  • She wears size 1 diapers
  • Wears 0-3 month clothes
  • Hates her car seat
  • Still loves to be held but is sleeping in her crib for nap time and bed time, yay!
  • Loves being talked to and loves watching Bria run around and play
  • She is a precious little baby!
Stats:
  • Weight: 10 lbs 13 oz (50th percentile)-Bria was 11 lbs 4 oz
  • Height: 22 1/4 inches (50th percentile)-Bria was 22.5 inches
  • Head: 50th percentile (can't remember how many inches)

She did really well at her doctor's appointment, especially considering she was all snug and asleep in her carseat (which never happens!) right before I had to strip her down to get checked. She was happy throughout the whole thing, until the dreaded shots. Oh boy did that make her mad. I nursed her and it still took her a little while to get over, she was very distraught, poor thing. She took a good nap and I'm giving her extra cuddles today.

Deep breaths

I love my girls to the moon and back.

Sometimes we have hard days. Other times we have very very hard days. And still other times, we have awesome days. It's very much a roller coaster and I won't deny some of it is due to the crazy hormones you experience after pushing a baby out your lady parts. I have moments where I don't think I can possibly do this and times where I just want to get out of the house so bad I want to cry.
But then God sends me his angels (in the form of my husband and family) and I feel a lot better. Then Reese smiles and coos at me and my heart melts even more.
Then my two ladies cuddle together and I explode with love. This is where I get the strength to continue.
We've had a great couple days with my Mom here while Brian was in Arizona for work, I'm so grateful she could come up and help me, it was amazing. Now it's back to me and the girls while Brian's at work and I'm not exactly sure what to do with myself :)
So I am blogging, and comparing pictures of Bria and Reese. I will say, I think Reese looks soooo much like Brian. We each have one, Bria looks like me and Reese looks like Brian :) However, every once and awhile we think Reese looks a lot like Bria did as a baby, it could be because they are wearing the same clothes...

And I had to zoom in on her adorable socks, thanks Aunt Sara!

Well I have some free time and free hands (which happens very rarely) so I'm going to try and be productive...or lazy, haven't decided.

Mommy!

Last week I was having a rough week, I just wasn't juggling everything very well and things seemed unbelievably hard. So I called my Mom ('cuz no matter how old you are that's what you do when things get rough) and she came to the rescue. Not only did she come up here and stay one night, but she took Bria with her when she went home for 2 whole days! That is the longest we have been away from Bria and I was really nervous. But of course, Bria was in heaven with all her family. She got to stay at Ya-ya and Papa's house (my mom and stepdad), hang out with Aunt Jenny, Grandpa, Cassidy and Abby, then she went to the Jensen's house and hung out with her cousins. Yeah, she got plenty of attention :) And it's safe to say she wore Ya-ya out!
With her being gone I did a whole lot of nothing and didn't feel guilty about it. I did get some cleaning done but mostly I sat in the rocking chair and rocked Reese while watching tv, it felt pretty good.
Now we are back to the grind. Except that Brian is out of town for 3 days next week. Normally I would freak out but my Mom is once again coming up to help me out, it's so nice to live near family.

Aunt Heather got Bria her very own Woody doll and man is she in love with him!
EXCITEMENT!

Exhausted.

Pure love.
This girl does not have a lack of facial expressions.

Reese's favorite place to sleep.

Gotta love Fall time, the colors are gorgeous!
So is this little girl :)

Can't believe Reese is 7 weeks old already!

Just a few more than I'm done

I had to post a few more pictures from Halloween, 'cuz I love my little Tinkerbell.

And I love this photo of us :)

We thought we could trick Reese into staying in her carseat but she didn't buy it. So in the Ergo she went.

Bria wanted the candy right away, to avoid 53 tantrums we gave her a lollipop.
She was happy and all was right with the world.

Notice the adorable shoes?! Love them. Brian actually spray painted her shoes with green glitter stuff and then plopped a white fuzzy on them, perfect.

Hand in hand with her friend Sophie.

Okay, I'm done with Halloween pictures now :)
We've had a rough couple of days if I'm being honest. Reese is a stage 5 clinger, she does not want to be put down and it's making the day incredibly frustrating. She has a hard time getting into a deep sleep during the day and that is also frustrating. I'm hoping soon things will get a little easier and go a little smoother.
Check out Reese's widow's peak (her hairline)!
I love that they both have the same expression on their face :)

Little smiles from my Reese's pieces!
Can't believe this little girl turned 6 weeks old yesterday, crazy.
