It is almost here

Today is the last day of May, which means tomorrow is the first day of June...and in June I turn the big 3-0.
I'm hoping to take the time and write something profound and insightful about turning 30, hopefully that happens in the next couple of weeks. I go back and forth between being totally fine turning 30 and freaking out.
So where am I going to be when I turn 30?
Las Vegas.
I'm doing the typical mid-life crisis Vegas trip ;)
But seriously, I just wanted to go on a trip with my husband and friends and my first request was that it was somewhere warm and sunny so I could sit by a pool 90% of the time. Vegas fits that description and it also is one of the cheaper places to fly and stay at.
Brian's Mom is going to watch the girls for a night and then drive them down to my Mom's for the remaining couple days of our trip. Bria has started to become a little homesick when we are gone so I am a little worried how she is going to do. But I think at my Mom's they will find comfort and stay busy so I feel confident it will be a good experience.
The trip is less than a month away so I am getting pretty excited!
Ready for ballet!
Yesterday Lanie and the girls came over for a playdate. She found out right before they came over that Kris passed the dental boards! He is officially a dentist! It's been a long road for them so I'm incredibly happy for them.
With that good news comes the news that they will be moving. We aren't sure where to yet, but it will probably happen in the next month. Both Lanie and I are in denial.
I have no idea how we are going to tell these two:
These two will probably handle it ok:
Although, Reese has a deep love for Bristol:

Lanie and I are in denial that they are going to move away from us. We will continue being in denial until the day they move.
So, any dentists in the Hillsboro area want to hire Kris so they don't move away?!

And I raaan, I ran so far away

I ran a 5k last Saturday and I am officially addicted to races. Although don't go thinking I'm going to do a marathon, this girl has short legs so a half marathon is my ultimate goal. And that is pretty much a marathon for me since 2 of my strides equals one normal stride for most runners.
Anyway, the point being, I had fun.
It was the Dick Inukai run, Scott's Dad would have been 70 years old and they remembered him by throwing a 5k!
Brian was nice enough to bring the girls and cheer me on, and Dusty ran while Amanda cheered him on :)

Dusty and I before the race
I surprised myself and ran it in just over 22 minutes, I was proud of my time. And Dusty? His time was 18.08. I will let that sink in.
He's fast.
I don't think if I sprinted the whole way I could have kept up with him.

My favorite part was running up to the finish line and seeing my hubby and girls and the Buell's cheering for me, it was so sweet.
After the race the kids napped and then we took all the kids to the mall to visit Amanda (she had to work) at Nordstroms.
The kids had a blast trying on glasses.

Fabulous

Wants to be like her big sister
And she is going to kill me but I have to post this because I'm proud of my All-Star! Amanda is the best saleswoman this side of the Mississippi :) She's in the yellow.
Today Bria has ballet lessons and then Brian and I are going on a date night with Nate and Amy, yay for date night!

Memorializing

On Sunday we drove down to see my parents and then go to my grandparents grave site, my Mom's parents. We actually have a lot of family buried in the same cemetery so it was neat to walk around and see all of them.
Lanie and the girls came down too, Bria was ecstatic and loved showing off Bristol to everyone :)

My super husband

We had fun spending time with the family, it seems like it's been awhile since we've gone down so I was happy to spend time with everyone.
Today we spent time as a little family and it was much needed. We took the girls roller skating and the four of us had a blast. We skated, danced, laughed, and ate popcorn. We all enjoyed the quality time together.
The long Memorial Day weekend is over, so now the sun can come back out!!!

At Grammy's house

We really like it at Grammy's house.

My hands are full with this one

I sure love my Reese.
She is cuddly and loveable and absolutely hilarious, this girl has more spunk than any other child I have ever seen.
With all that goodness, she is a HANDFUL.
Oh my goodness, she exhausts me on a daily basis. It is nearly impossible to discipline her, she giggles and laughs no matter how stern I am, no matter what I do. I feel utterly deflated.
She throws epic tantrums complete with very strong kicking and screaming and flailing about. She doesn't like diaper changes, getting washed in the bath (just wants to play), getting lotioned up, getting dresses, basically everything I do in the morning. Which is frustrating to say the least. It does not start my day off very well when I have to battle a strong willed 20 month old who doesn't care when she is scolded.

The weekends can't come soon enough, then I have Brian to help in the morning and I don't have to battle it alone.

Her love of cupcakes and pretty much food in general is out of this world

Found a marker and drew on herself

I don't wanna harp on my Reesie too much though. She is incredibly sweet and loves cuddling, she has the cutest smile and loves making people laugh. I just wish she would do all that stuff more :)

The program

For Bria's last day of preschool they had a little program and all the kids sang a bunch of adorable songs.

Grammy, Heather, and Daddy all came to watch and celebrate our little preschool graduate.
Reese was very excited

Bria was so fun to watch, she sang loud and did all the hand motions. It was so sweet I nearly cried!
Ella, Bria, and Kylie

Her whole class!

Bria adores her teacher, as I mentioned, and I know Mrs. Biamont loves her too. I think Bria was her favorite ;)
Mrs. Biamont
After Bria took a picture with Mrs. Biamont, Reese shoved her remaining oreo cookie in her mouth and ran over to get a picture too!

Bria had a lot of fun showing off her family and friends and loved showing Grammy and Heather her classroom.
It was such a fun day and I was very proud of my little girl.
