Sunriver Girls' weekend

My Mom and sisters and I try to do a girls' vacation at least once a year. I look forward to that quality time with the special women in my life and this year we went to Sunriver for 4 days and it was wonderful. We stayed at Jenny's in-laws house and they were so kind to open it up to us. They even had champagne, sparkling juice, and chocolate waiting for us when we got there. So sweet.
Baby girl Tegner's first girls trip!
The goal was to relax, see bend, and do whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted.  And we did just that...with some workouts/yoga mixed in :)
We did a shopping trip, pedis, and dinner on Friday. I had fun looking at some of the boutiques downtown and even found my own:
And that beautiful bag in the picture above? Yeah, that was my favorite purchase. Love it.
Marionberry margaritas! *Virgin for some :)

We watched Pitch Perfect one evening since my Mom and Jaime hadn't seen it yet...which meant Saturday was a movie day and we saw Pitch Perfect 2! Hilarious. Freaking loved it.
Also did a mini photo shoot to capture our fun weekend:

We had the best brunch on the way out of town Sunday that still has me wanting more. Overall, it was a great weekend and I can't wait for the next one.

Crazy Hair day!

Bria had spirit week at school last week and she dressed up every day...pajama day was the most exciting for her.
I on the other hand love crazy hair day. And just my luck, it was on Wednesday which is the day I volunteer in her classroom.

Twisty bun mohawk!

Oh yeah, I totally got in on the action

There are only 4 weeks left in school...and then my kindergartner will be a first grader, whoa!
I think she will enjoy going full day next year. Mainly because she will get to eat lunch there and she cannot wait for that.

Reese starts preschool next year and will go 2 days a week, she is ecstatic. She loves pointing her school out when we drive by it and she usually tells people about the cool park at her school. I think it will be a good experience for her...hopefully. :)
And fortunately we can still have our friday Starbucks dates!

Mother's Day AKA the day where I don't lift a finger

Brian and I have Mother and Father's day planned out pretty well...we both get a day alone to do whatever and then the day of, we don't lift a finger. Brian spoiled me rotten, I got to sleep in all weekend, I hung out with Lark part of the day on Saturday. Saturday evening we went out to Mexican for dinner and I got my very much desired margarita.

Then on Sunday I literally got to do nothing but hang out with my family. Brian and the girls made me breakfast, I took a nap with Reese, and we had dessert at Lark's house later in the evening.

French toast and bacon

BBQ'ing burgers...he makes the best burgers

Girlfriends

Bria has known Presleigh and Charleigh since she was just under 3 years old. As 3 year olds it was definitely a love hate relationship, AKA, I don't want to share with you. At 4 and 5 it was a power struggle.
Now, Bria is 6, Presleigh is 5, and the two are getting along very nicely. So nicely in fact, that Presleigh and Bria proclaim they are best friends. Charleigh wants to be in on the big kid stuff too, and fortunately Bria is very loving toward Charleigh girl :) Reese enjoys playing as well, but has no problem going off by herself if their activity doesn't appeal to her. Love that confidence in her...she definitely gets it from her Dad.
We offered to watch the girls for Scott and Randi while they were at a funeral.
The day started off with donuts...

...and then to Home Depot for their project. Have you done this with your kids yet? If not, you HAVE to. Heather is the one who brought it to our attention and it's been so much fun. Once a month they have a completely free project for kids to do. The girls really like it.

Hammering away

"Mom, it's bright, hurry up."

Her mama has trained her well!

Presleigh very intent on working
After that we played at home for a bit then went to a park. The girls had a fun day and they were all exhausted by the end.

I just signed up the girls for their summer stuff. I think I am slightly crazy...swim lessons for both at the beginning of summer and then at the end. Gymnastics for Reese and a summer camp thing for Bria. It's going to be a little crazy and I hope I didn't take too much on. I just wanted to make sure we had stuff to do because when we don't we all go nutso.

Sillyness and sunshine

Goofy Penny!
This spring has been incredible and I can't stop talking about it. The sunshine and warm weather means we can be outside more and that makes the kids happy and me happy. There is just a lot of happiness going on.

Penny getting in on the scooter action
Plus we have BBQ'd a lot...

...a lot, a lot. Almost to the point where I'm tired of burgers.
Almost.
On our way to do something in the sunshine

Sidewalk chalk playing before school

Hopscotch
I'm going to be honest, not sure I totally know the rules of hopscotch. It's just hopping right?

One day we went and fed the ducks at the library. It's been awhile since we have done that and the girls had so much fun. I didn't have any bread to feed them so we brought cheerios. Ducks like cheerios too just FYI.

And all this sun is making crave summer. And a vacation.
