And not the computer kind. Bria is still sick and running a fever. We took her to the doctor on Thursday, no ear infections or anything, just a virus. Well she continued to get worse until the point where she slept all day long and was borderline lethargic. So Saturday we took her to urgent care, same diagnosis.
I'm worried sick and I miss my Bria. The urgent care doctor was a tiny bit helpful in that he told us to give her a higher dosage of Tylenol. Now that we have been keeping on top of the Motrin/Tylenol remedy she is doing a lot better. Of course last night she woke up crying so I went in to console her and as soon as I picked her up she puked all over, her poor tummy continued to heave. She fell back asleep and woke up an hour later to do the same thing, this time she heaved for awhile and I felt awful. She's not eating but she will drink a bottle a little and nurse. I cannot believe how long this virus is lasting.
I have been stressing all week and praying she is ok. When I took her into the doctor her pediatrician decided I needed more to worry about. She said Bria's head shape has changed considerably since her last appointment at 9 months and that she is referring us to a cranial specialist up in Portland. She kept reassuring me it was probably nothing and told me not to worry.
Oh okay, I shouldn't worry? So if someone told you your daughter's head shape was concerning enough to go see a specialist you wouldn't worry?
We would love some prayers, we are just worried about our little one.

I'm so sorry things are tough right now. I'll be thinking of you guys and praying for you. It is SO scary when your baby is sick. If it makes you feel any better, we were going to see a cranial specialist about Dillon's head when he was about 4-5 months. He had an EXTREMELY flat head. I was so nervous. It rounded out on its own and we ended up not going to see the specialist. Babies all develop so differently and they certainly give us many many scares. I know that everything will be ok. :-)
poor baby and mommy- thinking of you guys~
Sorry for the rough times you are going through, lady! I'm sending you good vibes and lots of prayers! Keep us posted!
I'm so sorry Lou! We will definitely keep you in our prayers. If you need anything at all please let me know. We love you guys!
We are thinking about you. I'm sure everything will be fine!
Lindsay,
Don't worry about the head shape. :)It is better that the doctor is referring you to someone and that he is taking care of it. That means he is a GOOD doctor. One of our twins did go to a cranial specialist b/c of her head tilt in which it caused a flat spot.
We did have her in helmet therapy for about a month in the summer. At first it was hard but once it was over it was fine.
PLUS you may never have to wear a helmet b/c they are LOTS of things the doctors can do before the need to go into helmets.
I hope she gets better. My girls are sick too again and it stinks. But it is life with kids. Good luck and you will be fine:)
Jill
