About that...

That's right! We had the once in a lifetime opportunity to go to Garth Brooks!!! We were ecstatic and I was counting down the days until I could rock out at a Garth Brooks concert. Scott and Randi invited us to go and we all had a blast. First was dinner...then was music...
The seats were incredible, we were so close.
Date nights' rock!
And when he came up on stage, I screamed and sang my heart out until the very end...after 3 encores :)
He was incredible. I loved every minute of it and had such an awesome time. Love me some Garth!
In addition to concerts, we have been having a sensational winter and spring as far as weather goes. I am thoroughly impressed with Oregon and all this sunshine, it's made me so happy.
The girls are enjoying it as well.
Sister hugs

We have had multiple picnics and BBQ's already.

Ready to take Bria to school
We have enjoyed our backyard, neighborhood, and parks so much lately. As well as vitamin D.

Reese gets tired easily though, good thing her big sister takes care of her.

Easter at Grammy's

For Easter it's tradition to go to church with Grammy and the girls look forward to it so much. I think Grammy gets pretty excited for it too :)

Night before Easter shenanigans
Grammy cuddles
We let the girls stay up late and even though they weren't acting tired, I knew they were. I swear, my girls would never go to sleep if we didn't put them to bed. Maybe Reese would, she seems to like her sleep. But Bria, she never wants to go to sleep. She will stay up late, playing in bed, and wake up at the crack of dawn. Crazy girl.

Grammy cuddles before bed
The girls went to sleep and about an hour later Bria starts screaming and then Reese starts crying. Bria was having some sort of nightmare and woke Reese up. We could not console Bria or calm her down in the least, so I took her downstairs and laid with her and ended up just sleeping with her. It took a good half hour to get her to calm down. At first I assumed it was a night terror, but nothing was working, even taking her to the bathroom which is usually the fix. Also, she was somewhat coherent. She was able to explain that her body was hurting all over and she felt dizzy. Her head hurt and she couldn't stop her body from being tense. It was really scary. Brian and I were at a loss. We think maybe it was a panic attack of some sort, maybe brought on by moving into a new house just a week prior? I'm not really sure, but it is something I don't want to go through again. She continued to cry out every hour the rest of the night, she wouldn't wake up but she would cry and be inconsolable for a few minutes, then eventually go back to sleep. In the morning she remembered her episode and couldn't offer any more information on exactly what it was. Again, just praying it doesn't happen again. But we were very concerned and the whole next day I spent online trying to figure out what it could've been. Again, panic attack seemed to keep coming up. Also OCD seemed somewhat to fit some of the symptoms. Ugh, where is a manual when you need one?
Despite the eventful night (did I mention Reese woke up with a bloody nose too?), church went well and we had fun.

The girls looked adorable...I loved their dresses (thank you H & M!) and we all coordinated very well. These pictures make their dresses look black and white, but the polka dots are actually navy blue.

Reese is so good at pushing out that belly!

Mother and son

We went to church and had breakfast then the girls got to do the Easter Egg hunt.
After that we went in for service.
And afterwards when we got home we snapped a few more pictures for good measure :)

And because I love me a good comparison...

Easter 2015

Easter 2014
Easter 2014, again
Thank you Whole30!
This year... Easter 2015
...and last year:
Easter 2014
The girls outgrew the tiny green bench and had to move up to the bigger one!

After pictures we got to relax inside, which consisted of doing Dad's hair...

...and then a nap :)
Easter was a success!

Spring break beach trip

It is very rare to have good weather during Spring Break in Oregon. As Oregonians we just know that if we want sun for Spring Break we have to hop on a plane. However, this year was actually pretty decent, at least for one day. And not only was it nice in the valley, the coast had sunshine!!
The girls and I piled in Lark's car with Cooper and Penny and we met the Buell's there.

I rarely think to bring the girls' swimsuits, especially in March, but I should know better. They don't let the frigid, ice cold water stop them from getting wet. Crazy kids!

It was very enjoyable and relaxing and the kids played and played. Reese played so hard she came and took a nap on my lap...

Dusty livin' the life

Digging a big hole
We let the kids play for quite awhile and then when they started getting hungry we headed to dinner.
Waiting for a table took awhile, fortunately teacher Dusty kept the kids entertained with stories:
His story telling inspired Bria and Cooper to tell stories the whole way home, it was adorable. But before heading home we had to get ice cream, because we had promised it :)

Group shot!

Love my girls
We didn't leave until almost 8 pm! It was such a fun day and made me so excited for summer to come so we can do more beach trips.
