More Pictures

In no particular order........more pictures from Hawaii!!

Kyle's Mom and Dad
The whole family on the beach behind our house
They buried Lance and then had a hard time getting him out, he survived though :)
The Father of the Bride with his daughter.
This is Kyle's sister Jessica with Jenny. Jess and I had so much fun together, she is simply hilarious and we had a ball together.
This is my Dad and Anna before the dinner rehearsal:
The bride and groom at the dinner rehearsal
My mom and Randy at the dinner rehearsal
Jenny's best friend Erin lives in Hawaii and was a huge reason the wedding was a success. She did so much for Jenny and we love her to death. Her shirt is adorable, it said, "Team Bride, sexy little bride." It was too cute. She also got Jenny the shirt she is wearing that said, "Mrs. Tegner." We love Erin!!!

So I didn't want to post all the Hawaii pictures is one post since that would be the longest post ever. Plus, everytime I post pictures it reminds me of our trip to Paradise. I think I'm done posting those pictures those because I'm getting a little depressed that we're not there. :(
Well, I wanted to write a little more but uploading those pictures took forever, of course, and I have to get ready because I'm going to..................................................................................................
THE BEAVER GAME!!!!!
My Dad called me (multiple times but my stupid ringer is quiet and I can't hear it) morning and said he had tickets and was trying to get ahold of me, but since I didn't answer he called Jenny. I of course was calm and said that's okay maybe next time. Yeah right. I was so mad at myself and my stupid quiet ringer, I couldn't believe I had a chance to go and missed it!!! But my Dad is the best Dad in the world and found 2 more tickets for Brian and I!!!! So I am just thrilled beyond belief. Brian had plans with our neighbor Chris to go shooting so they are out doing that right now and he'll come when they are done. So I'm going to meet my Dad at his house and then we're gonna pick Jenny up at Kyle's parents house and head out. It's gonna be so fun and I am really looking forward to it :-) Needless to say I have changed the ringer on my phone to a much louder one in hopes I will never almost miss an opportunity to go to a Beaver game.
Well I better get ready, wish us luck!
GO BEAVS!!!

Weekend Recap
I really can't even begin to explain our whirlwind weekend, we haven't been that busy in a long time! It's really Brian who was busy, he was splitting his time between family, Jenny's reception, and work. I would have had a break down if I were him but he handles everything with ease and sarcasm :-)
Having family here was truly wonderful, they kept saying that we would be so happy when they left, but honestly it was fun having a full house. Brian said he loved having all the kids around and Sunday night after every one had left it was all too quiet in our home. We're a little bored now. My only regret is that I didn't feel like a very good hostess. We didn't have enough accommodations and since we don't have kids of our own I know the poor little ones were so bored at our house. MJ was our saving grace and gave some entertainment to the kids, I'm always worried she is going to get on people's nerves because she LOVES people, but I think she did pretty well for the most part.
Tegner Reception
Jenny's reception was wonderful and the video from Hawaii was just perfect. It had us all reaching for tissues. Every memorable element from Hawaii was captured perfectly and it is a video we'll treasure forever.
We did lots of dancing and socializing, although it never feels like you talk to everyone as much as you want, time flies!
Bauer Wedding
Nate and Amy's wedding on Saturday was also a success. It was a large wedding (about 300 guests) and was thrown in true "Bauer" style. Food was delicious and served at four different locations within the room so the lines were not too long. One station had Italian, one had meat and potatoes, another had sushi, and the last one had salad. The dance floor was large and the tables and chairs added to the atomsphere. Her colors were ruby red and mango so it was a very pretty fall wedding.
It was a little bit of a cheerleading reunion and I loved seeing all the people I hadn't seen in so long. Ashley and Shauna whom I cheered with my first year at OSU were there and it was wonderful talking with them. Shauna had wonderful news: she's expecting! She's only 3 months along, but both Ashley and I were thrilled at her news. We can't wait to see her little pregnant belly, and more importantly can't wait to meet the little one. Congrats Shauna!
Amy was a glamorous bride and looked gorgeous in her dress. The couple was very relaxed and happy on their wedding day and are headed to Cabo today!
Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Nathan Bauer!

I am looking forward to a relaxing week, and more importantly to a relaxing weekend where we won't do too much except sleep and spend time together.

Just Stuff

Saturday Night
We had a lot of fun on Saturday for Amy's bachelorette party. We went out to dinner at a place in Portland called Bay 13 and it was delicious. Their clam chowder was soooo good. Then we went and had dessert at this cool warehouse place in downtown Portland before we went to Amy's favorite club, Aura. It is a very nice club and for me, a small town girl, it was huge. Brian and I drove home very late that night (early morning really) and crashed in our nice cozy bed. I didn't take my camera along but most of the girls did so I should be getting pictures from them.

Family
Tomorrow Tasha and Cala come into town with their husbands and little ones and I am really looking forward to it! I wish I didn't have to work Thursday, but at least I was able to take Friday off.

Wedding Season
Then Nate and Amy's wedding is Saturday at the Oregon Gardens in Salem. This is going to be very large, around 300 guests are expected and the Bauer's never disappoint. They love to entertain so I know it is going to be a gorgeous wedding.

October 6th we are going to a wedding in Bend, Oregon for our friend Julie. Brian went to high school with her and she is good friends with Tiff and Eric. I think that completes the weddings this season and they are keeping us busy :-) But it's the best kind of busy that's for sure.

Where is the Love?
I was sad that no one offered advice on my work problem, but that's okay I guess I'll just bottle it up inside. ;-) Maybe I'm losing people because I'm pretty boring, or maybe everyone is waiting for the unbelievably gorgeous wedding pictures of Jenny and Kyle in Maui! Once the reception is over I'll have tons to post, I wish blogger was faster at uploading!

Well goodbye for now, have a wonderful day!

Work Politics, HELP!

First, the good stuff:

Family:
Next week we have family coming into town for Jenny's reception and I am getting so excited. They all came last year for our wedding but I didn't get to spend as much time with them as I would have liked. This time around Brian and I get to have some of them stay at our house, they will be our first out of town guests! My cousin Tasha and Robyn, along with their husbands and kids will be staying with us and I'm just thrilled. I have lots to clean before they come so I better get crackin!

Bachelorette Party Dessert:
Tomorrow is Amy's bachelorette party and I am bringing a dessert. Originally I wanted to bring a cheesecake because that is what she likes, but I was told to scratch anything that needed to stay cold. Any ideas? I am starting to stress a little (weird, huh?) since it's tomorrow, so any suggestions are much appreciated.

Work Politics:
Work today is of course going by slowly, seems to be the case every Friday. But I know the weekend will go by even faster. My job is going well, but the people and politics are a whole other story. I know every job comes with politics but it is out of hand here. I am dealing with actual bullies, am I in high school again? Ever since I got here I've been trying to be invisible and just do my work, but there is this woman who is the ring leader of the "mafia" and every time you turn around she has a machete and is just going to town on your back. I mean she trash talks people that she claims are her friends. Plus, even though her position title is one of the lowest, she seems to have lots of persuasion, due to her manipulative magical powers. The icing on the cake is that she spends 95% of her day pointing fingers and blaming everybody else. Usually it's people that just left the agency so they are not here to stand up for themselves. But I've heard her throw my name around and I try to ignore her. I'm pretty sensitive and a huge people pleaser so my thought is that I can learn to build a tougher skin in having to deal with her. Unfortunately for me she applied for my position and didn't get it, so automatically she hated me from the start. If there is anybody reading this that has any experience with this I could really use some encouragement, I don't want to let her win!

Enjoying some down time
Well there you have it, a little bit of each day. We of course have tons more pictures but I thought this was plenty for now :)
Hawaii was amazing and we went to the beach every morning. We snorkeled, boogie boarded, and layed out, it just doesn't get much better than that. It was amazing to all be together (minus the kiddos) in the Maui and we definitely enjoyed each others company, we have tons of inside jokes to remember this trip. We spent most evenings sitting outside laughing and taking pictures along the beach, it went by so fast and I can't believe it's over. But it's a wonderful memory we'll always have, and I think we're going to do reunions every 2 years. 2009 will be in Shasta!
Thanks for all the well wishes and I know Jenny and Kyle say thanks as well. Hope you enjoy the pictures :)

HAWAII

One word can describe our trip:

Paradise

I'm not even sure where to begin, the whole trip was wonderful and went faster than the speed of light.
The most important event, the wedding, was breathtaking to say the least. It was surreal sitting on the beach in Maui, looking at Jenny and Kyle with the sunset behind them as they said their vows. There wasn't a dry eye in the house, or on the beach ;-)
We all walked down the aisle to Iz's version of "Somewhere over the Rainbow" and it was so fitting.
Brian did a wonderful job and I was so proud to watch him up there. He says it was the most emotionally attached he has been to a wedding and was incredibly honored to officiate.
Jenny's vows were so incredibly articulate and moving you couldn't help but cry. Kyle did a wonderful job as well and it was so obvious how much they love each other.
After the ceremony they took a few more pictures on the beach and played "Somewhere over the Rainbow", so we all stood around watching and talking. Well, someone turned around and looked up at the sky and what do you know, there was a rainbow! So we of course start crying and thought it could not have been more fitting.
After the ceremony was a mini reception (since they are having the big one on the 21st here in Oregon) with a wonderful dinner and lots of dancing.

I want to get approval before I post pictures, they might want me to wait and post wedding pictures until after the reception.

I think I want to leave this in a post all on it's own. To Jenny and Kyle, thank you for having your wedding in Hawaii, it was so perfect and fitting for you two. It was incredible watching you exchange vows and it is so obvious how perfect you are for each other.

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Kyle Tegner!

Aloha!!

WARNING: There are a lot of !!!!! in the following post. I can't help it, I'm excited about Hawaii.

We're going to Hawaii!

We did have to buy a new camera because ours died on us, not impressed with Kodak as it lasted a year and a half. So, we will be able to take as many pictures as we please and I will of course post them here.
My clothes are packed, I just have to gather all the toiletry stuff tonight. Plus we are taking MJ to her Grandma Marna's tonight.
Our first stop off the airplane tomorrow will be Costco (just like when we went there last year for our honeymoon). We'll get some groceries and probably some Costco hot dogs, can't be $1.50!
Then we'll head to a place to rent snorkel gear for the time we're there. We plan to snorkel everyday since we have a private beach in the back yard, yeah thats how we roll ;) We'll also venture out to a few well known snorkel places like Turtle Town.
As you can tell I am having a hard time focusing on work as my mind is already on the plane to Hawaii :)

I got my hair done on Thursday and am really happy with how it turned out. We put a little more blond in and she gave me the side swept bangs. I was really nervous so she didn't cut them as short as she normally would've, and I'm glad because I like the length they are at, a little past my eyes. I also laid outside on Saturday and Monday to get some color and eliminate some tan lines. Thanks to Maui Brown, I got a good brown tint to my skin and of course burned a little, but nothing a little Aloe Vera and Burn to Brown won't get ride of.

Sunday we went over to Brian's Dad's house and had a delicious BBQ. There were 4 dogs there so we definitely stayed entertained. Brian's Dad made the comment he would like if there were 4 grandchildren to enjoy the Holidays with, I agreed! Not that we don't love our dogs, but let's get some little ones in the mix.

Alrighty, well I better be going. Wish us a safe and fun time in Hawaii, and I'll see ya'll next week!!!!
