It's here!

The first day of preschool arrived! You think I would've had her outfit all picked out but I haven't had a chance to get her school clothes so I had to try and piece it together this morning.
Little did I know her pants were too big, and hadn't been washed.

She said they were itchy and wanted to take them off.
So I had to find another outfit. Which was fine, cuz I wanted her to wear her Toms anyway :)

Trying not to smile or look at the camera

They gave them these toes to bring to school and we got to decorate them :)
I was lucky enough to be teacher helper today, each parent rotates and takes turns so I will be doing it once a month or so. I really enjoyed being in there, it was fun to see how her day will be and their routine. Her teacher is wonderful and I enjoy how fun she is but also makes sure the kids pay attention.
Bria had a lot of fun and was pretty good at paying attention. I think she was hoping to play outside more since they have fun outdoor stuff. I'm excited to see how she learns each day.

Weekend stuff

Last weekend Erin and Jimmy came up to visit, we always have so much fun when they come up. Bria was thrilled that Gabe was coming to stay with us.

He even plays dress up with her, such a good sport!
These kids tired themselves out, they went all day long with no naps and still woke up early. Oh to be a kid with endless energy!
My sweetie
Lucy and Reese were so fun to watch together, Reese LOVED grabbing Lucy's face and would get so excited when she saw her.

Lucy Lu!

I think she's teething because her tongue is ALWAYS out

See?

"Oh Lucy, your hair is so perty."
I was excited because we got together with some of our friends up here as well so Erin and Jimmy got to meet the "crew" which was fun. Now Erin can put a face with the names and vis versa :)

And now I have to get ready for my weekend away! What stinks is that all my babies are sick. I feel horrible leaving. Brian sounded horrible yesterday despite my attempts at letting him sleep all day and I'm hoping when he wakes up this morning he feels a little better. Bria seems to be in great spirits and Reese has her moments. Last night was a complete disaster though, both girls were up multiple times even though they were well medicated. I'm praying that they sleep well tonight because trying to juggle two kiddos at night is hard. Say a little prayer for my family this weekend!

Sticking our feet in the sand

We went to the beach! My girlfriends and I were like, "Man, I can't believe we haven't gone to the beach yet this summer," and then we were like, "What are we waiting for?" and so we hopped in our cars and away we went!
Well, we packed up half our houses and then away we went.
This was Reese's first trip to the beach and Bria's first trip of the summer. To say they had a good time is an understatement.

We had a blast. The weather was sunny and blue skies...at the OREGON coast!? Unheard of, but a welcome change. We had so much fun building sand castles, digging holes, fishing sand out of babies mouths, and chasing waves.
Group shot!
Before the kids had a mid day meltdown we made it to a cute little place for lunch. We were definitely the entertainment of the place, 3 moms with 6 kids...yeah it was a bit chaotic. But the kids did pretty well and we all tipped extra for the mess.
Us and our cuties

OMG right?!

Yep, PRECIOUS

My girls and me!

Reese kept clapping at the ocean and she loved sticking her feet in it

Bria and her buddy Bennett

Brian likes this picture, a lot. Why? Oh wait, there's my boobs!

Bria still tells me her favorite part was digging the holes

Our day at the beach was so fabulous we attempted to go again today. Well, we made it (minus Amanda and the boys since Wes was sick) but Reese was sick and SUPER cranky, it was cloudy and kind of cold. We still got some fun in, well everyone but Reese...
...she is inconsolable at times. I'm talking full out screaming bloody murder. I had the whole entire restaurant looking at me today like I was killing my child, they weren't even mad, they felt bad for her. I did too, especially since I couldn't calm her down. She's acted liked she has a cold the last couple days and the last two nights she hasn't slept that well. Last night at 11 pm we were up for an hour with her and as I type this she just started crying. It's obvious she is sick because she is normally a great sleeper. Let's hope this passes soon. Maybe teeth? I took her to the doctor this evening and no ear infections which is good.
I guess she is making sure I enjoy some much needed R&R this weekend, it's bachelorette weekend time! Sunriver with my sisters, soon to be sister (Kayla) and Kayla's friends and I couldn't be more excited. 2 nights away from my girls and hubby, 2 nights for Brian to be stay at home dad, first time away from Reese overnight. Wish us luck!

We like to hike

Brian took a few days off last week so we went hiking. We drove all the way to Mt. Hood and did a day hike to Ramona Falls. I LOVE waterfalls so I was gung ho about this fabulous idea. We borrowed some Kelty packs from our friends so we could each carry a girl and we headed off on the 7 mile roundtrip adventure.
All ready to go

On the bridge

Sporting the baby

I was trying to get a picture of our girls because they were being adorable and holding hands

This is the very end of the hike, so please excuse my rough appearance
The girls did awesome. Bria hiked for a little bit but Brian carried her for the most part. 32 pounds of a moving toddler on your back does not make for the easiest hike, but Brian loves hiking so he didn't mind...too much :)
The falls were amazing! Videos and pictures just don't do it justice. It's seriously huge and magnificent. We had a picnic and rested a bit which felt good. Then we headed back where the girls passed out on the way home. It was a perfect family day.

Family pictures!

My friend Randi is wanting to build her photography portfolio and offered to do our family pictures. I was definitely not going to say no to that! She has an amazing camera and a great eye for pictures. Her style is similar to mine which is so nice.
We went to her house to take the pictures. We went about 6 pm and I thought the lighting was pretty good, plus she has sooo many places to take pictures! She shared a bunch of them with me and I can't wait to get a CD with the rest of them. I would like to turn one of the family ones into a huge canvas to put over our fireplace, I think it would look so good.
Without further ado, I give you, our pictures:

Amazing view!

I love this one

One of my favorites

Maybe this one as a canvas?

LOVE this one

I'm really happy with how they turned out. Pictures are always kind of a stressful thing, you've got to find a person to do them, a place to have them taken, decide when to do them, and then figure out what the heck you are going to where! Then the day of you have to get everybody ready and pray no one pukes or pees on their outfit. Once we had done all that and finally arrived at Randi's, I have to say she made it so easy and fun. She was quick and the kids were great and I was just so happy about the whole thing. We got everything I wanted and more.
Whew, family pictures, check :)
