And then we went to another one

Preschool pumpkin patch pictures! Say that 10 times fast...or even just 5 times.

It was a really pretty pumpkin patch

I'm so bummed this is fuzzy, this is her teacher Mrs. Biamont

That should be the last of pumpkin patches for a little while, although we still haven't carved/painted our pumpkins yet and I told Brian I wanted to do that this weekend so I will have pics of that.
This week wasn't bad, we had our last gorgeous days of fall and then the rain started up yesterday. However, I can't complain because in the last 103 days it's rained 6 days! 6 days people! That is a record and I'm thrilled about it. The funny thing is that when Bria woke up and saw rain, she got all excited and wanted to get her rain boots on and jump in puddles. She must be a true Oregonian to be excited about rain.

I had a blast at the craft night last night, I didn't take pictures because I was super busy crafting away. I got there at 5:30 and left at 11 pm. I got 2 crafts done. Yeah, I'm slow. But in my defense I got to snuggle with Brinley for awhile and that was wonderful, I usually can't do that because Reese gets a little jealous :) So do you wanna see my crafts?

My Christmas countdown, I'm so excited with how this turned out!

Just showing the different scrapbook paper I used :)
The Christmas countdown took awhile because you had to paint the blocks, let them dry, cut the paper, modge podge, vinyl numbers, modge podge, and then stand back and look at your masterpiece.
The other one I did was glass etching. Super crafty Lanie has a Cricut and got some glass etching. I had this idea to etch the letter "B" on 4 wine glasses that I got for my friend, Tiffanie's birthday. I'm thrilled with how they turned out and I hope she likes them!
It's official, I will NEVER be a photographer because I have NO idea how to capture things, can you kind of see the B?

This one is a little better
Craft night was a success and it was so nice to work on some stuff.

Today is a chill day, we are headed to Heather's to watch the Beaver game and then Bria gets to have a sleepover there, wahoo!

Toddling around

Reese has reached the next phase in babyhood-toddling/walking.
I thought for sure she would start walking around 10 months, she was standing at like 2 weeks old and always seemed so strong. But like her sister, she can be pretty cautious and doesn't want to do something until she is completely ready.
She took her first steps around 10 months and since then has taken a few here and there, but in the last few days she has started walking more and more. She still crawls to get places but I know very soon that is going to change.
Part of me really wants her to walk because my arms are tired of carrying her all over and my back hurts from bending over to help her walk, but the other part of me is starting to imagine playdates where I have 2 kids running in 2 directions. Chaos!
Fortunately Bria is old enough to listen and stay out of trouble...sometimes.

Lanie and her girls were gone the whole month of September visiting family and they are finally back. We were thrilled to see them and Bria and Bristol were beyond ecstatic. They play so well together, I need to remember to film them playing because they are totally in their own little world. They play with little princess figurines and their dialogue is quite hilarious.
The babies had fun watching their sisters. Reese had fun trying to get Brinley's bow and give her hugs.

You can hear a little of Bria and Bristol's conversation in the background of this video :)

This Friday I'm going to a craft night at Lanie's church and I am seriously so excited! As I'm sure most of you can relate with, Pinterest makes me want to buy everything at JoAnn's and Michael's and come home and craft all hours. But my budget and kids don't allow for any of that, darn it. So the fact that I get to go devote hours to crafting is really exciting. I will post pictures of my master pieces.

This weekend I'm hoping we can get to a pumpkin patch as a family to get a few more pumpkins then I want to start carving. Actually I kind of want to paint on our pumpkins this year since I'm not a huge fan of carving, but I figure it might be fun to carve one pumpkin and let Bria help clean out the pumpkin guts :)

Well that was fun!

It's been awhile since I've made it down for a Beaver game, 2 years. Last year I was super pregnant for the first game or two and then had Reese so I wasn't up for the long trip down to Corvallis.
But this year I got to head down, drop Reese off at my Dad's, and take Bria for a mommy daughter day at the game! Brian was hiking with Schuyler.

Seeesters
It was so fun taking Bria around to tailgators and the Beaver fan fare, I'm glad the Jensen kids came too because Bria loved playing with them.
And loved doing this...
Sweet Porter is so patient with her undying love for him.
We got to see lots of people, including Heather, Tracy, and Grammy:
And I got snuggle time in with Jax :)

I got lots of kisses!

Cutest cookies ever

Grandma Anna even came by the tailgator!
I headed over to the Bauer's tailgator and I was so excited that Dusty had brought down the boys because I got a picture of Bria and Bennett together!
This is important because 3 years ago, before we were friends with Amanda and Dusty, we captured this picture of Bria and Bennett:
SO CUTE! Amanda and Dusty are also friends with the Bauer's which is why we were all at the tailgator together.
So fast forward 3 years to this:
Wha??!! Kids grow up fast, did you know that?

Bria with her boys

Grammy and Bria getting ready to head in to the game
So after a few hours of tailgating we headed in. And as soon as we walked into the stadium there was a good play and everyone starting screaming  really loud.
And Bria cried. Because loud people scare her.
So the Tegners handed me ear muffs and saved the day.
Very happy that the loud screaming is muted

Love me some Bria and football!

Half the stadium
I was impressed that Bria ended up making in to half time before she was ready to go home. We had a great time together and I'm so glad we got to go.
We stayed at my Mom's and it was fun having some family time. Bria and Reese got to go in the hot tub twice-which was a huge hit and Bria watched Ice Age. Reese did not sleep all that great but fortunately I had Ya-Ya to help. It was a good weekend and I'm so glad we went down!

Surprise!

Wednesday morning I was getting ready when I got a text from Kyle asking if we wanted visitors. I was like, "Wha?" and then it clicked that quite possibly him and Jax were up in my neck of the woods since Wednesdays were Daddy and Jax days. Sure enough, 20 minutes later they knocked on my door and I was thrilled to pieces!

Bria got to cuddle with Jax
It worked out perfect because Reese was napping so I got to hold Jax without her getting jealous :)
Precious
Bria talked Kyle's ear off while I held sweet Jax. It was a really good morning :)
Last night Brian and I went on a date night and we were lucky to have 3 babysitters willing to help. Heather, Tracy, and Grandma Kathie came over and took care of the girls, it was fabulous.

It was wonderful to get out with my husband, eat dinner in piece and then watch a movie together. Date night is one of my favorite nights :)

It's on baby!

Pumpkin patch season baby! We went to our first pumpkin patch of the year and the weather was fabulously gorgeous...minus the 80 mile an hour winds. Or at least it felt like that. But honestly I would take that over the rain and mud and cold that we usually have when we visit pumpkin patches.
I dressed the girls in cute, somewhat matching outfits, cuz that's my prerogative as a mom.
Reese' blue steel impression

Bristol has been gone for a month so Bria was ecstatic to see her, I don't think they left each other's side!

My little ham cuddling up with her friends

All the chillin's in attendance

Me, my girls, and PUMPKINS!
I wish I was sipping a pumpkin spice latte as I type this, but I'm actually munching on sour jelly beans, which are actually pretty good. It's still fall and it's fun to have activities to do and places to go to. We are headed to another one tomorrow with Bria's preschool, there is a chance we will be pumpkined out soon.

Yesterday was a pretty low key day, after preschool we hung out at home and then went to the park.
Popsicle sticks are a blast

and funny too :)

But leave a funny taste in your mouth
At the part Reese fell down one of the steps and bonked her head. It wasn't too hard so I didn't freak out or anything, I just cuddled her for a few minutes. Well I looked down and she was bleeding from her mouth. She cut the little part between her two front teeth, on her gums. Plus she had a little goose egg on her head :( Fortunately it didn't seem to effect her too much, it bled a little again today because I think she jammed the spoon up there. But otherwise I think all will be well :)
Bria watching tv (she always looks grumpy when she watches it haha)

Her smile :)
Alright, I'm exhausted from our busy day so I'm going to (cross my fingers) try and take a mini nap while the girls are down, wish me luck.

Stats

I wanted to jot down Reese's one year stats since I never did that. This blog is my journal so I have to make sure and put all their little milestones and such on here otherwise I will forget.
The doctor appointment went fine. Our normal pediatrician wasn't available so we had the nurse practitioner and she was nice. I waited for awhile in the room for her which was frustrating, trying to entertain two kids in a small room with no toys and only 2 janky books (janky=falling apart) was not easy. She finally arrived and checked over Reese, who of course looked fabulous :)

Stats:
Weight: 18 lbs 5 oz (10th percentile)
Height: 29.5 inches (50th percentile)
Head: 17.5 inches (50th percentile)

She didn't seem concerned about her weight, especially when I told her what a good eater she is. We started her on whole milk on her birthday and she has done fabulous. I am completely done nursing and have been for over a week. It was very painful. When I was done nursing Bria I had no engorgement or pain of any kind so this was all new to me. My boobs hurt so bad I wanted to cry all day long. Instead, I complained a lot to Brian which he just loves. Yesterday was the first day that I was pain free. I should be happy right? Well, since the engorgement is gone and the milk is gone, my boobs are also gone :( Just can't win. ;)
Soooo done with pictures

  • Size 3 diaper
  • Size 3 shoes
  • Size 9-12 month clothes
  • Still not enough hair to put in a pony on top of her head :(
  • Still almost walking but likes to be stubborn
I am starting to have people tell me how much she looks like Bria and I definitely see it. I have two blonde haired blue eyed beauties!

Apples to apples

Bria had her first field trip the other week, it was to an apple orchard. I would like to say it was a blast and the kids learned a bunch, but if I'm being honest it was a bit of a cluster and there didn't seem to be a plan at all. The kids got bored and the nice farmer was more than eager to share information about farms but let's say he was so monotone that I almost fell asleep. Bless his heart, we was a very sweet man, just not exciting for 3 year olds to listen too.

A little ring around the rosie put smiles on their faces :)

Looking at a llama

Bria and Kylie, they were both so cute during picture time!

Eating an apple, except Bria cuz she said they were too hard
The next field trip is to the pumpkin patch on Thursday and I'm hopeful that it will be more of a success, or at least a little more fun for the kiddos!
Aside from the preschool pumpkin patch, we are also going to a pumpkin patch with our friends on Wednesday and I'm looking forward to that. Like I warned you in the last post, there's gonna be a bazillion pictures of my girls and pumpkins. Yesterday I decorated the house for halloween/fall so we are officially ready for October.
And here's just a little video of Reese showing how she loves to eat by herself, she doesn't want us helping her anymore :)
